Welcome! We are one of the oldest literacy councils in Pennsylvania, with 45 years of service to the community. We have helped thousands of adults reach their goals; however, we continue to face new challenges, and need your help! Please look around our site and stop back often!

FALL 2014 SEMESTER REGISTRATION
AND ORIENTATION DATES

All applicants must present identification and have a Social Security Number.

High School Equivalency Program (HEP)

Monday, September 15, 2014 and Wednesday, September 17, 2014
STUDENTS MUST ATTEND BOTH DAYS FOR HEP REGISTRATION AND ORIENTATION!

Doors open at 8:15 a.m. Registration is first come, first served and limited to the first 30 applicants. Plan to be in attendance for four hours each day.

ESL Classes
Tuesday, September 16, 2014
Trinity Lutheran Church, 527 Washington Street, Reading, PA 19601

Doors open at 8:15 a.m. Registration is first come, first served and limited to the first 40 applicants. Plan to be in attendance for four hours. Students attending this orientation and registration will have to pay for parking. Parking is available at the Poplar and Walnut Street garage.

Epiphany Lutheran Church, 631 N. Temple Blvd., Temple, PA 19560

Doors open at 5:15 p.m. Registration is first come, first served and limited to the first 40 applicants. Plan to be in attendance for four hours. Street parking is available for free.

Literacy Council, 35 S. Dwight Street, West Lawn, PA 19609

Doors open at 5:15 p.m. Registration is first come, first served and limited to the first 10 applicants. Plan to be in attendance for four hours. Registration for this class will be limited to applicants with one of the following goals: Achieve U.S. citizenship skills; Become a U.S. citizen; Register to vote; Vote for the first time; or Increase involvement in the community.

The Fall Semester will begin on Monday, September 29, 2014.
