Our Leadership

Meet the team behind the Literacy Council of Reading-Berks
Ryan Breisch is a senior executive with deep expertise in organizational strategy, programmatic innovation, external communications, and fundraising across the education and nonprofit sectors.

His commitment to adult literacy spans his entire professional life — and then some. Ryan first joined the Literacy Council at age fourteen, volunteering alongside his grandmother, Joan, who served as the Council's executive director. That early experience instilled a lifelong dedication to expanding access to education for adult learners.

As executive director, Ryan has significantly expanded the Council's presence throughout Berks County, forging meaningful partnerships with local businesses and school districts to ensure that quality adult education is accessible to every resident who needs it.
