Our free ESL classes provide a well rounded program for adults 16 years and over that includes career planning, work-related knowledge, and essential life skills.

What are the requirements?

Not enrolled or required to be enrolled in secondary school under state law

Plan to remain in the United States permanently (No F1 Visas or Tourist Visas)

16 years or older

Resident of Berks County

What can I expect?

How often are classes held?

Classes are held 2 times a week each term.

Where are classes held?

Classes are conducted in-person at multiple locations throughout Reading and Berks County.

When are the terms?

Fall Term: September-November Winter Term: December-February Spring Term: March-June

Registration/Orientation

Online registration on our website is mandatory. Orientation is conducted in person and typically lasts three hours. During this process, participants will take two English reading assessments to determine the best class placement.
